Howdy! We've recently started working on a new campaign - Hold a Paw, a collaboration with Adopt a Dog Singapore, a local organisation that seeks to save street dogs while promoting the adoption of dogs.

As social media geeks, we're on a mission to improve the social media presence of adoptadog.sg by the end of the year (Goal 1), in turn increasing traffic on their site, and ultimately, driving up the dog adoption rates in Singapore (Goal 2)!

Facebook will be used as the main platform to engage and interact with audiences, while the organisation's website will function as a call to action. Simple ways to increase social media engagement include the posting of pet tips and articles, creation of photos/videos and the showcasing of social media influencers who have adopted dogs. Concurrently, we wish to promote adoptadog.sg as an effective adoption site that potential dog owners can turn to.
One concern in using social media as an outreach platform is the methods undertaken to measure social media impact and value. Some outcomes that we wish to track include:
Facebook
Page likes
Post reach/shares/comments/likes
Contest engagements
Hashtag frequency
Website (adoptadog.sg)
Website traffic
Average time spent on website (adoptadog.sg)
Traffic sources
Behavioral outcomes
Event attendees
No. of dogs adopted

Pssst here's a little secret - we're giving a twist to the Humans of New York concept, into our very own Street Dogs of Singapore (if there exists a Cats of Singapore, why not a canine-inspired one?). This will feature regular stories and pictures of adopted dogs and their owners, street dogs and shelter dogs. We hope to increase people's awareness of the prevalence of homeless dogs and let potential adopters know that they can make a simple dog's life less ruff.
Stay tuned as we embark on this new journey!
