Hey guys, as mentioned in our previous post, we have an upcoming campaign, Hold a Paw, in collaboration with Adopt a Dog Singapore, an organization aimed to save street dogs while promoting the adoption of dogs. Our campaign goals are to improve the social media presence of adoptadog.sg as well as to drive up the dog adoption rates in Singapore.

Slacktivism (sometimes clickvism) describes "feel-good" measures that people take while in support of an social issue or social cause, with little physical or practical effect (Davis, 2011). The person doing it feels satisfied that they have contributed, albeit with low effort, rather than providing substantive actions that help the cause.

So you may wonder, apart from supporting the cause by “liking” the adoptadog.sg’s Facebook page, how can you contribute to the cause? Well, you can volunteer for Adopt a Dog, or it can be as simple as persuading a friend who has intentions of buying a dog, to adopt a dog instead! :-)
